Termites are Hangry

Nope, we spelled that right. They are hangry. Termites are in a constant state of anger because your house is just not enough food for them to be satisfied. In fact, they are so hungry that they get emotional and cannot get out of this negative state. Thus, they are constantly hangry. Where does this leave you and your home? In many cases, they take out their hanger on you by destroying your home. Termites are usually the first to start snacking on things like floors, ceilings, wood posts, or even supportive foundations of your home. Then, they move onto the “other” things in your home. They get so desperate that they start attacking your drywall paperboard, wood paneling, wood furniture, and even certain carpets. So, you may be stepping on them right now. Ewww!

The following are some signs of termite damage:

  • Sagging floors
  • Tiles becoming loose
  • Swollen floors and ceilings
  • A mold or mildew smell
  • Floors bubbling up
  • Crumbling wood
  • Doors feeling jammed
  • Paint peeling

Termites work in funny ways. Look for signs in your home that are out of the ordinary. If something looks off, don’t ignore it. It may lead to serious damage to your home. Call 866-787-6483 for a free home inspection.
