Don’t Let Termites Spoil International Beer Day
So, you’re probably thinking about this weekend right about now. It’s Friday, and you have the “Friday Feeling.” You know it is international beer day, so why not celebrate it with well…a beer? Cold beers are always great (especially on a Friday), but what makes them so great today? It’s hot outside! California is still in a drought, and we are expecting funky weather patterns for a while. So, a drought should cure your termites right? Wrong. You many need a beer for this one: beer is not the only thing international. *Spoiler alert* Termites are international too.
Termites are a worldwide issue that no one can escape. Most likely, California is suffering from a great big case of Drywood Termites because of our drought issues. So, that’s it right? There is no other ones living and chomping on your home? Nope. You can also have Subterranean Termites that can actually live in any state except for Alaska. Also, Formosan Termites are closely associated with California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii and other southern states. Just think of them as our southern termites (who probably will be drinking a mint julip instead of a beer today). Beer is a friend to many, but termites are usually a very uninvited guest to the party. Watch out for termites in your home, and enjoy International Beer Day with the best of them. Also, please drink responsibility and always designate a driver.
