As all of you may know spring is just around the corner and I know we are all looking forward to the warm weather. Termites also love the warm weather, when temperatures increase so do the potential swarms of termites. Did you know termite awareness week is less than a month away?

Termite awareness week was created a few years ago to help bring attention to the importance of protecting your home from the damage and infestation done by termites. Protecting your home and spotting termite infestation is the first line of defense against these harmful insects. Here are some steps to prevent these damaging pests from destroying what you worked hard for, your home.

1. Store wood away from the house
2. Keep watch for cracked or bubbling paint
3. Monitor soft and damp wood inside the house
4. Seal cracks and holes on the outside of the house
5. Repair leaking faucets, water pipes, and AC units outside of the house
